toolazy…

i like doing things, but i'm just so-dang-lazy.

Archive for clothes

lesson learned.

before i moved back home, i was a little chubby.  to help ease the pain, i gave away a lot of clothes.  in the past year and a half, i’ve been slowly losing weight (although, i’m back to my november weight, but i’m losing again).

my family is going to have a garage sale tomorrow and so i went through a pile of clothes that i was going to donate.

i found a pair of jeans that i was ready to give away.  i saw the size and thought, ‘i should try these on.’  it was a size smaller than i wore pre-move, but it’s my current size and IT FITS!

AWESOME!

lesson:

when throwing away clothes, keep them for three months because you might fit into them.  however, do not keep them longer than a year or else you’ll just feel bad that you haven’t lost the weight yet.

lame lesson, but i’m stoked i can wear a smaller sized pair of jeans.  :)  i saved money by not giving away perfectly good jeans that fit again.

Inspired by Punky Brewster.

Today is a rainy rainy day, so I decided to wear funky clothes.

I have a weird outfit with my umbrella rain boots (yes, rain boots with umbrellas on them), blue leggings, grey skirts, blue long sleeved shirt, fuschia sweater, white scarf, and floppy grey beanie.  To top it off, I had my plaid hooded jacket.

I felt a little bit homeless (layers!) and a little Punky B. (blue leggings?).  As soon as I walked into the office my coworkers saw me…and complimented me.  Apparently, I look very cute covered up (appropriate for the weather).  Later, without my big plaid jacket, I got another compliment.

Funny.

Funny because I feel very homeless-chic and i just threw a bunch of clothes on because I was FREEZING.

Thank you to coworkers for thinking dressing up in five minutes works!
